Duck Dynasty Doesn't Love The Gays...Say It Ain't So!

As a non-christian, part time anti-christian, I have recently been put back into the weird spot of defending christians. Yeah, I know...what the fuck.

Recently GQ magazine interviewed Phil Robertson, patron of the Robertson family on A&E's hit tv show Duck Dynasty. In it he said a few things... let's review those things because lot of them have been taken out of context.

To see what the man said in the context of the article, click here.  But since people are to lazy to click a link to learn the truth, let me do it for you:

On growing up in pre-civil-rights-era Louisiana:
“I never, with my eyes, saw the mistreatment of any black person. Not once. Where we lived was all farmers. The blacks worked for the farmers. I hoed cotton with them. I'm with the blacks, because we're white trash. We're going across the field.... They're singing and happy. I never heard one of them, one black person, say, ‘I tell you what: These doggone white people’—not a word!... Pre-entitlement, pre-welfare, you say: Were they happy? They were godly; they were happy; no one was singing the blues.”

Is that racist? No. Is it naive. YES!!!
Of course the black people didn't complain about white people to the white person. I am sure he never saw racial mistreatment, maybe he did maybe he didn't. But is this statement racist? No.

Now on to the meat and potatoes of the whole Duck Dynasty debacle. Gays. Oh the gays are real butthurt about this...see what I did there? Butt hurt... hee hee...

On Homosexuals:
“We never, ever judge someone on who’s going to heaven, hell. That’s the Almighty’s job. We just love ’em, give ’em the good news about Jesus—whether they’re homosexuals, drunks, terrorists. We let God sort ’em out later, you see what I’m saying?”

“Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men,” he says. Then he paraphrases Corinthians: “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”

“It seems like, to me, a vagina—as a man—would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.”

Sweet Jesus. Imagine... an old christian man that is a self professed redneck, not loving the gays...NO SHIT!

"Hey you god damn homos. I'm the wrong fucking one! "
This is why I stopped being a christian. to be a christian you have to believe in the bible, you have to live a life according to the bible or you are not being a christian. The book is too full of bullshit so I stopped going along with the bullshit.

For years I went along with the bullshit until it got to much, I kept making excuses for it... and this is what people do. People seem to think that you can pick and choose from the bible like it's a fucking buffet, or ala cart.

The bible is pretty fucking blatant about gays... "sinful"..."abomination"..."should be put to death"... if you are one of these morons that thinks that the bible doesn't say anything about homosexuality then you have not read the bible. Yes it's bullshit, but if you believe the bullshit then live it.
CAMO: They can't butt rape you, if they can't find you.

And that is what this man is doing. He is living his bullshit.

People hate christians because they are assholes that seem to think that the rest of us should live their bullshit too. Don't do this, don't do that.  You think differently than me how dare you!

That is the same shit that liberals are doing with this controversy, this backwoods asshole believe differently than me, how dare he!

Any attack on the freedom of speech of a person, is an attack on the freedom of speech of everyone else, as far as I am concerned. Let him have his say.

Do I agree with it? No. Will it hurt you to hear it? No.

Now everyone that I have this conversation with seems to think that I seem to think that I believe that A&E deciding to sideline him is the attack on his freedom of speech. Hell no. I don't care about that. I am sure they have contracts and agreements and all this other shit. I don't care. What I care about is people saying that he can't say what he thinks. Of course he can. So can I and so can you.
